On July 5th, Taste Poy took its very first step out into the world with a pop-up at the iconic Books for Cooks in Notting Hill. It was a day filled with excitement, delicious aromas, and the joy of sharing something close to our hearts.
We brought along our small-batch sauces, carefully crafted with Akpi seeds from the Ivory Coast, and to our delight, we sold out completely! Every jar found a new home, and every conversation reminded us why we started this journey: To introduce bold, adventurous flavours and a little-known seed with a Big story.
For those new to us, Taste Poy is all about “Little Seeds, Big Flavour.” Our star ingredient, Akpi, a hidden gem of West Africa. A seed that carries tradition, richness, and depth into every dish. With each sauce we create, we’re not just offering flavour, but a passport to discovery.
We left Notting Hill buzzing with gratitude, fresh ideas, and a fire to keep going.
